BPF
The British Plastics Federation (BPF) is the world’s longest running plastics trade association, established in 1933 to represent the UK industry.
It has over 450 members that span across the supply chain. This includes plastics recyclers, polymer producers and suppliers, additive manufacturers, services providers, end users, plastics processors, and machinery manufacturers, in total representing over 80% of the industry by turnover.
The main purpose of the BPF is to promote a successful UK plastics sector, which it does by providing membership services to the different BPF groups, including projects, events, updates, research and other activities. BPF also works on industry-wide issues such as sustainability, safety and education.
“As I know from my own engagement with the plastics sector, the British Plastics Federation is a powerful advocate on behalf of the industry. But more than that, it has also been a promoter and supporter of change within the industry.”
– Lord Sainsbury, Former Minister of Innovation.
BPF also provides members with discounted access to the Climate Change Agreement. BPF Energy was formed to help the BPF administer a scheme that is open to both members and non-members of the Federation. A 58% discount to the BPF Energy fees is available for those who are full BPF Members.
BPF’s website receives over 1.7 million pages views per year.
