Engineering consultancy company Ricardo, has completed a series of pioneering thermal systems projects on behalf of BAE Systems.
The project saw Ricardo work as a technical partner with BAE Systems on its its Tempest programme, a UK partnership that brings together industry leaders to generate technologies and experiences needed to lead the development of the next generation of combat air systems.

As the commercial aircraft market takes off once again, Doncasters has invested $12.9m in two of its facilities, one in the US and one in the UK.
With post-covid orders from commercial airlines higher than predicted, Doncasters is doubling the capacity of its US operations in Connecticut, and more than doubling production in the shell lines at its UK site in Droitwich.
This closely follows the announcement of the company’s acquisition of Uni-Pol, which increased its annual revenue to over $500m.

American Airlines has announced an investment in ZeroAvia, which is developing hydrogen-electric, zero-emission aviation.
The deal also includes a memorandum of understanding that will allow the airline to order up to 100 engines for regional jet aircraft with zero emissions.

Etihad Airways has firmed up its order with Airbus for seven new generation A350F freighters, following its earlier commitment announced at the Singapore Airshow.
The freighters will upgrade Etihad’s freight capacity by deploying the most efficient cargo aircraft available in the market.
This order of the A350F sees the national carrier of the UAE expanding its relationship with Airbus and adding to its existing order of the largest passenger version of A350-1000s, five of which have been delivered.
